Changes are in the works for ACBF in 2019.
Gone will be the large November event. With the proliferation of beer festivals over the past five years or so, our attendance has softened, and without a growing attendance, we cannot meet the primary goal of the event: large donations to our beneficiaries.
Thus, we will move forward with a series of specialized events. First, we will continue with a small beer festival event at the MeadowGrass Music Festival on the Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. Last year we had 18 brewers and music throughout the event. It was wonderful! We will also continue to support the downtown Steers and Beers Festival and the Monument Bines and Brews Festival. We hope to remount the highly successful All Colorado Spirits Festival that many of you enjoyed a few years ago.

The 2018 All Colorado Beer Festival raised enough revenue to donate $49,000. The Home Front Cares received $15,000, the Empty Stocking Fund $15,000, the ACBF Scholarship Fund $4,000, and THEATREWORKS $15,000.
The All Colorado Beer Festival is a 501(c)(3) corporation registered in Colorado. The organization was established in 2007 to operate beer festivals with the express purpose of raising funds for Colorado Springs area nonprofits. To date, through ticket sales and our entirely volunteer staff, the ACBF has generated $513,900 for our beneficiaries. We could not make these large contributions without the many people involved in the festival. First, and foremost, the brewers. Without their generous donation of beer, there would be no festival. Brewers are not paid! They donate all the beer. Second, you our guests. About two-thirds of the price of each ticket goes directly to our beneficiaries and may qualify as a donation on your taxes. Finally, our entire volunteer staff: the planning committee, the captains and assistant captains, and the individual volunteers. Every person involved is a key contributor!

Thursday the 14th of December was a good day! The Al Colorado Beer Festival presented two checks for $20,000 each to the Empty Stocking Fund and The Home Front Cares. This is by far the best part of the beer festival – giving away the money. To date, ACBF has donated almost $500,000 to nonprofit organizations in Colorado Springs.
The Home Front Cares check was presented to Andy Cain at the group’s Christmas gathering by Randy and Trice Dipner and Matt Favier.

The Empty Stocking Fund check was presented to Dan Steever by Randy Dipner, Matt Favier, Trice Dipner, and Drew Martorella. Click here to view the Facebook Live! video of the presentation.

Giving Tuesday was November 28th – a fitting day to begin the distribution of the funds raised by the 11th Annual All Colorado Beer Festival.
The ACBF gave the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Giving Tuesday campaign a jump start by presenting a BIG check for $25,000 (to support THEATREWORKS and the All Colorado Beer Festival Scholarship Fund).
Venkat Reddy, Chancellor of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, accepted the check from Randy Dipner, Trice Dipner, and Drew Martorella.
It feels really good after all the hard work to begin giving away the money!

The 10th All Colorado Beer Festival is over, and it was a success!
We raised enough revenue to donate $82,000, and we are now handing out the beneficiary checks. So far we have given The Home Front Cares $23,000, the Empty Stocking Fund $23,000, and the ACBF Scholarship Fund $10,000. That leaves one more check of $26,000 that will be presented to THEATREWORKS on Friday, December 9th.
Each ticket buyer helped make this possible. We estimate that 67% of the price of each ticket is a donation to the beneficiaries! Congratulations to each of you for your support of Colorado Springs nonprofits.
