Colorado Craft Spirits Festival
The 2nd Colorado Craft Spirits Festival will take place in Colorado Springs on Saturday, May 21st, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at THEATREWORKS Dusty Loo Bon Vivant Theater on the UCCS campus.
We already have more distillers signed up for the 2016 Spirits Festival than our total for last year. Check out the lineup!
3 Hundred Days of Shine, Altitude Spirits, Axe and the Oak Distillery, Boathouse Distillery, Breckenridge Distillery, Cockpit Craft Distillery, Distillery 291, Downslope Distillery, Laws Whiskey House, Lee Spirits, Leopold Brothers, Mile High Spirits Distillery, Rising Sun Distillery, Spirits of the Rockies, Spring44 Distilling, Vapor Distillery, and Wood’s High Mountain Distillery. Six of these distillers recently won medals at the Denver International Spirits Competition.
Also returning this year as a sponsor is Coaltrain Wine & Spirits who promises to fill in some gaps for distilleries not able to come.
For those of you not drinking alcohol or looking for a mixer, we will have soft drinks from Trader Joe’s and Cranberry Lavender Kombucha from Happy Leaf. And, if you drink a bit too much, grab a bottle of ResQ Water!
We also have the following restaurants committed for the festival: The Famous, Alchemy, Culver’s, Jimmy John’s, Trader Joe’s Continental Sausage, Buffalo Wild Wings, The Melting Pot, and BooDad’s.
Music will be by the Ian Ferguson Jazz Trio.
The education seminar lineup includes a session on Mixology by Luis, the bar manager from The Famous, How to Taste Spirits, Moonshine in Colorado, the Distilling Process, and Defining Spirits Types.
